Wheres best in September?

Hi, please help. My husband and I are in our late 30s and want to go to Croatia in the 1st 2 weeks of September this year. We would like to do 2 locations, 4/5 nights in each. We like fairly busy with a few bars and restaurants but want to avoid stags and hens! Please can you make some suggestions? Many thanks

Dubrovnik is always a good choice. Then I would suggest that you get out to an island--- Hvar would be a good choice I would say. Korcula is another option, but was rather quiet and peaceful.

A that time of the year, high season is usually over, and locals are more relaxed and not so business minded so it is a good chance to make a good friends at the local bar. Another advantage - it is much easier to find a table in many bars and restaurants than during July-August. Also, the choice of the seafood (which is a topic by itself) is better than in high season. I agree that places like Hvar are fun, but too crawdy for my taste. Split is also a good choice, worth of investigation on your own.
