Driving or bus from makarska to dubrovonik

Hi, would you recommend driving from makarska to dubrovonik or getting the bus, I have seem some posts saying that the bus trip is an ordeal in the summer?

Both will be fine. It takes around 3 hrs with the bus.

Agreed that either is fine. Lots of traffic in the summer, so each could be an ordeal!

thanks, will stick to the car so, are there many places to stop on the way

I also like the idea of driving so you can stop whenever and wherever you want.
