Hotels in Donji Grad or Gornji Grad Zagreb?

Hello,

Does anyone have any information or knowledge of moderately priced hotels in the Donji Grad or Gornji Grad neighborhoods of Zagreb (possibly near Ban Jelacic Square)? I don%26#39;t know much about Zagreb, I am just assuming these are the best parts of town to stay in and visit...I am looking to spend 100 - 120 Euros per night.

I will be in Zagreb in early May traveling with 2 other people.

Any suggestions, links, etc. are greatly appreciated!

Thanks a lot,

Phil

prices in Zagreb are a bit higher than that but Hotel Dubrovnik, right on the main square is quite affordable. It is also worth every penny since you can visit all the sights on foot.

Do you know if the Hotel Dubrovnik can be reached by the airport bus?

not directly! it takes you to the main bus station but you can take tram overthere and it%26#39;s only few stops away..

Another couple of ideas regarding hotels near the center of zagreb, but not necessarily in gornji or donji grad:

-hotel jadran- 10 min walk due east of the main square (most certainly not a 5-star, but look it up online)

-sheraton hotel- 15min walk to the main square

-arcotel allegra- right next to the sheraton

-hotel astoria- 5-10min

check out their webpages for a better idea of what they look like..
