Day in Split and Croatia

We are going on a cruise in April and will spend one day each in Dubrovnik and Split. Do you have any suggestions for sightseeing and transportation to get around? Thank you very much.

Walk in both places, no cars are allowed in either of the Old Towns.

Sightseeing in Split is basically Diocletian%26#39;s Palace which is enclosed in the walled Old Town. This will take you most of the day. A guide book will tell you what are the must-see sights, and Rick Steves has a very good walking tour of the Palace and city which takes in the main sights and sites.

Dubrovnik is much the same. Walking the walls is a good thing to do, but try to start at the entrance close to the Ploce Gate as there are less steps! There is plenty to see and do in Dubrovnik, again a guidebook will help you decide which church to see, museums, etc depending what you like to do.

Good luck and have a great trip, hope this helps.
