travel in and out of Croatia

In September, my husband and I want are flying into Vienna and out of Venice with Croatia in-between. I am thinking we will fly from Vienna into Dubrovnk on Sky Europe (do you agree?) and I would like to ferry from Dubrovnik (or close by) to Venice. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thank you. Karen

I think your first idea is a good one to fly into Dubrovnik. You could take the ferry then to Rijeka and then get to a place you can get to Venice from--- Porec. Or another option is to take the ferry from Dubrovnik to Bari in Italy and work your way back up to Venice, or you could ferry from Split to Ancona in Italy.
