okay ... how to get from Zadar to Plitvice and how much might it cost?
How far is it?
Bus or other transport?
Private guide and transport?
or, do I rent a car (for the first time ever of all my trips to Europe?)
The car rental seems a bit scary to me ... fear of getting ripped of price-wise, not knowing how to make the drive, hassle with where to return to car (since I don%26#39;t intend to go back to Zadar, but instead to proceed toward Lake Bled).

You can take a bus, more than a dozen daily departures Zadar – Plitvice.
Price is 65 - 70 kuna (14 - 15 $).
