We will be in Split/Dubrovnic/Zagreg during holy week and EAster. What is the expected attire expected for a woman to attend mass and or just to visit the church?

Nothing special, normal attire. Avoid shorts, bare shoulders - and that’s it.
Hvar island is particularly renown of their Holy Week precessions and customs.
