Hello,
We%26#39;ll be spending about 1 week in these places next September, and wanted to start looking early for good accommodations.
Any advice on where to stay in these places? We%26#39;re looking to stay in private accommodations (studio, room in a house, apt, etc).
In Split, we%26#39;d like to stay in the city center (Diocletian%26#39;s Palace). We%26#39;d like to stay in the center of Hvar town and Korcula town. We%26#39;re looking to pay up to about 50 euros/night for 2 people.
Please let me know if you have any suggestions.
Thanks,
Craig

I really liked Gatti apartments in Korcula--- great view of the Old Town and an easy walk to get there. I have also seen good reviews of Royal Apartments in Korcula.

If you pm me I will give you contacts for local rents at less than you are asking but good quality - if not go into www.korcula.net where they have a link to accommodation in Korcula. As for Split just %26quot;google%26quot; accommodation in Split and you will find lots to rent but do not take offers from persons waiting at ferry/bus (bad experience for me once !!) Do know of a place in Split just have to remember the link !! It is near the palace and central willl pm you with this when I remember !
As for Hvar do the same thing just %26quot;google%26quot; accommodation in Hvar or go into this site and put in Hvar for search and you will see previous posts on Hvar
Have a great holiday !

An excellent (but very expensive) place to stay in Split is the Hotel Peristil--- www.hotelperistil.com/eng/about%20hotel.htm
The location of this place is great and the rooms are very very nice. Give it a look if you are interested!

We have booked the Hotel Slavija (which is in part of the old Diocletian%26#39;s palace) this summer. Lot less expensive than the nearby Hotel Peristil, but reasonable reviews on Trip Advisor
Hope this helps
