Hello!
We are a family of 5 (husband, me, plus 3 daughters: 28,25,16) planning a 10 day holiday to Croatia at the end of august/beginning of sept 08. It will be our first visit to Croatia. We all go on holiday once a year together to catch up! I think we%26#39;ll be flying in and out of Split, though we could fly into Split and out of Dubrovnik or vica versa. We will be spending a week at a friend%26#39;s house on Vis. What should we do for the other 3 days? (Or should we be going for 2 weeks?) I%26#39;d like to see Dubrovnik (but think it might be a bit far), also Mostar. But sounds from the other postings as though there could be lots to do in the Split area. My husband likes fishing and drawing, my 16 yr old likes texting her boyfriend, and the rest of us like walking, visiting intersting places etc. Please help. Thank you.

Hi beekeeper, we were having the same problem deciding on our itinerary but in the end thought we%26#39;d leave Dubrovnik for another time. If you fly into Split it is very near Trogir which looks and sounds just as attractive if not more so than Split. There are many apartments that would suit your family group size and the possibility of different trips inland from there for your last 3 days.
Hope this helps!

Also agree with Trogir. Maybe a day trip to Krka? Another day could be spent wandering around Diocletians Palace in Split.

You will have great time on Vis! Also, I would advise to stay in Split area and visit Trogir, Krka nad Sibenik (drawing guy will be delighted!)
