Dubrovnik to Mljet in June

Am looking to do a day trip from Dubrovnik to Mljet in June. I%26#39;ve done some looking on the boards and know that there is a slow boat %26amp; a catamaran that leave from Dubrovnik. I can%26#39;t seem to understand the schedule though. I think it leaves Dubrovnik around 9:15am and arrives at 11am. The return then leaves Mljet around 5pm. Does this give us enough time and is this on the slow or fast boat?

Any help is appreciated:)

If my memory is correct the trip on the fast boat takes

just over an hour. You will need the maximum time for a day trip. We hired a jeep and it helped us see a lot more of the island, which is an amazing and beautiful place.

It takes just over an hour from Dubrovnik to Sobra and an extra 35 minutes to get to Polace on the cat. Departure is scheduled for 9:15 but check weekends and public holidays. If you just want to see the salt water lakes it gives you sufficient time but if you want to visit all of the island you will need a lot longer.
