Croatia in June??? Helppppppp!!

My fiance and I are seriously considering going to Croatia for our honeymoon. we LOVE the water and HOT weather. Having said that, will it be hot enough to go in the beginning of June?

Where should we go; I hear Dubrovnik, Rab Archipelago, Hvar...but I need serious help finding out the best places to stay (money is no object) in a great location near the water. Any advice is MUCH appreciated.

Here is info from Lonely Plantet:

Google has loads of info, of course.

Well I am not sure it will be real real hot, but it will be nice enough for a honeymoon. To me Croatia is a very beautiful, romantic place. I think you should look into Dubrovnik for sure and also Korcula, which isn%26#39;t too far from Dubrovnik. There are many other places that would be nice too.... Hvar, Brac, Rab, etc.

We went to Croatia last May. June is even better as it%26#39;s hotter and the water is superb. I booked a seriously lovely self-contained apartment in Zivoscge. This is between Split %26amp; Dubrovnik. We hired a car in Zagreb. The main road was brilliant and will be extended to Dubrovnik by then.

Nearly everyone speaks English and are friendly and helpful.

I booked through Adriagate. The apartment overlooked the water, had a massive balcony, BBQ, Great hosts live in separate quarters above. If you want anymore info feel free to get in touch. There are some outstanding places to see, if you have the time.

Thank you so much for your valuable input. We are looking into all the options. It is all so confusing! However, what a relief to hear about the warm weather!

the weather is ROASTING in june

I was there last June - there were some days that sitting in the sun wasn%26#39;t even an option for me it was that hot.

WOW! Good to know! Thanks. Any recommendations re: where to stay?

What sort of accomodation do you want. Hotel or apartment?

If you want to stay within the old city itself your best bet will be an apartment. We stayed at Renata%26#39;s - mainly based on excellent reviews on tripadvisor - and it was, indeed, excellent. If you book early enough you can get a room overlooking the old harbour.

I echo the weather comments. There were many days in May that we were happy to jump into the 70F water! It was very hot, dry, and sunny (except for the 1 morning we toured Dubrovnik when it tried to rain!). We also didn%26#39;t know where to stay so we opted for a cruise for 7 days on Katarina Lines (A class boat, upper deck cabin). That way we could see lots, enjoy nature, meet some nice people, and go swimming at least once a day in the crystal blue water.

The weather in June is great! Summer at its best... Regarding the help with your honeymoon, my friends went with Secret Dalmatia and they had spectacular time: private dinners, serenaded evenings, a 7 day private cruise (80 ft luxury Sunseeker)... Now they are tailoring another honeymoon for our other friends from Sydney. Not as luxurious but apparently, they can work with all sorts of budgets to design worry free experience. We are planning a wedding next June and we are thinking about organizing a ceremony in Dubrovnik.
