My boyfriend and I will be traveling from venice to krk in beginning of August 2008, we can get picked up in rijeka. can anyone advise of the best way to get from Venice to rijeka. Do we take a ferry from venice to pula, then a bus to rijeka? How long does it take? the only ferry we could see took 2 days and left from ancona, italy then went up the croatian coast.
Much help appreciated as we are banging our heads against brick walls on this one! :(

You can get from venice to rijeka by train,it takes between7 and 11 hours depending on the train.

Venezia lines takes you from Venice to several ports on the Istrian coast. They usually travel around 2-3 hours and then an hour by bus to Rijeka. They have a web site
