Does our intinerary sound ok?

We think we%26#39;ve planned our trip and just wanted to check with others who%26#39;ve been or who live in Croatia whether it sounds ok?

We%26#39;re flying in to Zagreb on Tuesday 26th September and staying at the Arcotel Allegra for three nights. On one of the days we%26#39;re in Zagreb we%26#39;ll be catching the bus to Plitvice for a day exploring and then catching the bus back to Zagreb.

On Friday 29th we%26#39;ll be getting a train or bus from Zagreb to Rijeka to catch the ferry to Dubrovnik which sails on Friday evening.

We%26#39;ll arrive in Dubrovnik on the Saturday and stay there until Thursday when we%26#39;ll fly home. We plan on visiting Mljet on the catamaran on Monday.

Does that sound ok? Have we got the right amount of time in each place, and are our travel arrangements ok?

I also have a couple of questions. Should we book the ferry from Rijeka to Dubrovnik in advance, and if so, where would we book it?

Also, will we run into any difficulties getting the bus back from Plitvice? What time do they stop running and is it easy to work out which one to get on?

Many thanks all! Really looking forward to our visit!

It seems fine to me but instead of taking the bus to plitvice and trying to catch one for the way back, I would go to one of the agencies in Zagreb offering excursions to Plitvice lakes, so then you have your own bus and don%26#39;t have to worry about it!

Have you looked into getting a flight from Zagreb to Dubrovnik? If cheap enough, I would fly there to get there quicker. A ferry ride from Rijeka doesn%26#39;t sound too appealing to me. In Dubrovnik I would also look at taking a day trip to Montenegro or Mostar in Herzegovina if you can find the time!
