Trogir Apartments in early june

Thinking of visiting Trogir in late May early June. Firstly what will the weather be like? Also have found an apartment in Trogir which says the first floor room has a view of the sea. 150m to beach (pebbles), 3000m to town centre - does this fit? Are there sandy beaches about and what is there to see. Not interested in night life apart from good food and wine! Intend to hire a car, presumably from the airport at Split? Just the two of us, 50 somethings!

We went to Trogir early June last year. Weather was pleasantly warm - mid 20%26#39;s.

How long are you planning on staying. Trogir is beautiful but tiny and you can easily explore it in less than 1 day. From Trogir you can make day trips to Split and Krka National Park. After that you are probably better off staying somewhere else - either Dubrovnik or one of the many islands such as Hvar, Korcula, or Vis

I think Trogir is a great base.

All the beaches are pebbles, but take/buy water shoes and you are fine. It makes for very clear water for swimming in. I swam at the end of May last year and it got very hot.

Not sure where your apartment is if it%26#39;s 3000m to the town centre - that%26#39;s 3 km away adn NOT in the town? Is it only 300m?

Trogir is great for chilling out, sitting at cafes, and lots of eating and drinking. You can walk round it in a day but there is more to see than takes a day inlcuding the cathedral, fortress, tiny winding streets etc. You can go on boat trips and onto the island of Ciovo for the beaches.

I would do car hire from the airport as you get better competition. With a car you can drive north - the roads are excellent going north - and visit other towns and such things as the National Park at Krka. Use the bus/coach to visit Split as it%26#39;s not a nice place to drive.

Thanks to both of you for your replies. We plan to stay for just over a week, and the idea is to relax! I have checked and the apartment is 3k from the town, but there is/are resturants/shops within a few hundred metres. The photo of the beach appears to show very buildings, so it could be quiet! Any other suggestions for trips, journeys inland would be most useful - thanks (ps isn%26#39;t Tripadviser great!)
