Split and where else?

Hi everyone

I am 37 years old and plan to go in Croazia first 2 weeks in August; I ll be in Split for 5 or 7 days.... any advices - opinions for the rest of my holiday?

Makarska, Baska Voda, Brela, Tucepi or an island of the coast such as Brac, Hvar or Korcula.

did you book the flight yet? or you are going to take a ferry from Ancona?

if you decide to fly, book it immediately -croatiaairlines /Roma Eur/ 06 54210021; you%26#39;ll pay cca 220-270 Eur; if you wait 360,00 or more....

this is my suggestion;

fly to Split, stay there for 5 days, go to Hvar /3 days/ - one day trip to Bol.... then Korcula 2 days... for the rest of your holiday - Dubrovnik...

you have a flight Du-FCO /not every day/ or rent a car /take a bus/ Dubrovnik-Split and then back to Rome...

I will catch the plain - I think; I need some advice about Split - acomodation, beach, day and night life.... Iam a solo traveler, so, what do you think - which is the best place for me?

Hi,

private accommodation and book it as soon as possible - possibly in the city center; as regards beaches - choose Bacvice or Znjan, which is /on my opinion/ better; day life in August - beaches between Znjan and Bacvice.... in Ovcice there are lot%26#39;s of cute bars and nice people.... night life - city center Vocni trg - Puls, Fluid... you%26#39;ll see....

but alone for 5 days? - I suggest trogir - not Split; it%26#39;s a beautiful small town, with very good night life... there are no beaches in town, but you can go in okrug Gornji or Slatine...

Trogir is like Trastevere, but more beautiful :-)

just an advice: leave at home your Hoogans, your blue %26quot;bus driver shirt%26quot; and the tweezers ;-) and you%26#39;ll have a wonderful time..

If you like hotel, try Hotel Peristyle---good price and is just behind Cathedral (outside city wall is hotel wall), easy to walk from ferry or Air Croatia bus dropoff, city sites, market. I prefer Brac (Zlatni Rat in Bol) to Korcula for beach. Rent scooter to drive from Split to Solona, Trogir, Kastela.
