My husband and I are thinking of going to Croatia at the end of May. We would like to be near a beach (not bothered that it may not be sandy) but would also like to be near to some interesting/cultural things to do. We would also like the temperature to be as warm as possible!!!
Please, please any advice gratefully received.

We don%26#39;t remember raining in the last week of May in years so it is a good choice for a holiday. If interested in combining culture and beach I would suggest islands of Hvar, Brac or Vis or even Korcula being very lovely and near Dubrovnik. Each of these islands is a lovely Mediterranean paradise with many historic villages and wonderful landscapes. Plenty of secluded beaches all over!

Yes. island Hvar is very blue in May due to the lavender blossom, the air is full of scents of all sorts of herbs, and you can find very cheap accomodation in that period of the year.
