Take a bus to Split, then take a ferry out to Brac. I think there would then be buses to take you to Bol.

there are no direct flights from Dubrovnik to Bol. As Barry says, your best bet is to take a bus to Split (c. 4.5 hrs) and then get ferry to Brac. If you time it right there is a 4.00 pm catamarin from Split to Bol each day which takes an hour. The alternative is one of the many ferries that go from Split to Supetar on Brac from where you%26#39;ll have to catch a bus or taxi to Bol. If you want a taxi, try Taxi MIa in Bol who have an 8 seater minibus which will take all of you. tel: + 38598207023
Another alternative is to travel only as far as Makarska and catch the ferry to Sumartin on Brac and then get a 20 min taxi to Bol. This will save you having to go all the way to Split but the ferries are not so frequent. see www.jadrolinija.hr

thats great thanks for all your advice...i suppose it would be much handier not going all the way to Split.... hmmm maybe i%26#39;d be better off going to a different island closer to Dubrovnik, so that i wouldnt be spending a day trevelling to Brac and another day travelling back

Look into Korcula or Hvar if you are going to change island plans. They might be easier to get to than Brac.

i think 4.5 hrs is too long im afraid... would it be quicker i went to Hvar instead? How long would the journey take? If i go to Hvar from Dubrovnik i proberbly wouln%26#39;t have to go all the way to Split to get a ferry.
