Korcula to Dubrovnik - ferry or bus - which is nicer?

Hi - We will be travelling in May. We are taking the ferry from Split to Korcula and after our stay there, making our way to Dubrovnik. Both the ferry and bus are options - should we stick to the ferry or take the bus for an alternative/better %26#39;view%26#39;? Do they both take the same amount of time?

Thanks.

Given that Korcula is an island you will have to take some kind of boat to get off it anyway although I know that it is very near the Pelješac peninsula on the mainlland (only about 900m away) so I assume you would do the small crossing Korcula-Orebic.

The road stays pretty close to the coast but you would obviously drive right along the peninsula which might be interesting, although the ferry tends to stick quite close to the coast anyway.

Re the boats, I am not sure if the catamarans run in May - I think they only start from 1st June. The big car ferry takes about 3 hours and is very pleasant but only runs twice a week at that time. I don%26#39;t know how long the bus would take but it should be quite quick once off the peninsula. Personally I would take the boat if I could, just becuase you can move around, take photos, buy drinks, food etc.
