Driving from Trieste Airport to near Porec, Istria

Hello

Could someone please give me some tips about driving from Trieste airport to Porec, Istria?

We%26#39;re planning to drive through Italy, Slovenia and into Croatia down to a small village just below Porec. Is there anything we need to know?

Is this journey easy to do with good roads?

Can anyone recommend a good map?

Are there any tolls en route?

Can anyone recommend a good, reasonably priced car rental company?

It looks like it may take around 1 1/2 hrs.

(Flying to Pula airport is another option but flights there seem so much more expensive.)

go to web site www.viamichelin.com and they give you the cheapest or the fastest route with map. The journey is easy , takes about max 1 hout to take there , just follow the sings first in Italy for Slovenia, then for Pula (quicker) or Rijeka. Many people talk italian and english .

Sorry, what i mean is, what is the toll crossing charge in Italy? Or isnt there one any more?

as I know , no cost for anything , maybe only for motorway, but it%26#39;s not expensive . You must pay attention in Slovenia , not drive to fast , in Croatia , dont use any alcohol (0,0%o) . Have a nice trip.

Don%26#39;t forget to turn your lights on at all times, even in daylight. Also make sure that your car hire company allows you to drive into Croatia at no extra cos. I used Hertz and they didn%26#39;t charge any extras and were very helpful in Trieste airport. Tolls wont cost you any more than €10. i find the roads quite narrow in Croatia as there are no verges on the roads but after a day you get used to them and wont be going at any great speed anyway.
