We were planning to stay in one of the few hotels on Brijuni Island in early June, but it%26#39;s become impossible to book a room. The only way to book any of the hotels is through the Brijuni web site (www.brijuni.hr/en/Home.aspx…), and the booking page has not been updated in a while and therefore the option to reserve for any dates in 2008 is not available. We also tried contacting someone through email several times, but there has been no response.
Has anyone been to Brijuni this year, or has anyone else been planning a trip? Does anyone know if the hotels are even operating this year? I can finding NOTHING about this problem anywhere online, and we really would like to stay on the island instead of staying on the mainland and taking an excursion. Thanks!

stolenchyld: We have stayed on Brijuni every year for the past 15 years! You may not be getting a response because the admin staff tend to take their holidays in Jan/Feb. The email address for Brijuni is sales-dep@brijuni.htnet.hr We now know most of the staff well and built up a relationship. We are about to book again for June/July. We email or telephone the person directly involved in bookings. If you are interested I can send you a personal message with her contact details and information about the hotels and the island.
