Travelling with family(3 generations) from Queensland Australia, going to Debronovick. We want to go the least complicated route (for sake of chidren %26amp; grandparent.) Wondering if anyone can help re travel %26amp; suitable accommodation, preferably without steps, near to centre of city. Also, does Debronovick have any markets?
Mmmm we have chosen Debronovick after reading many forums. Hope it is the right choice!!
This will be the start of a trip around Europe, ending in Ireland.
Have had several successful o/seas trips due to in no small way to the advice from Tripadvisor members.I will value and appreciate any input.
Thanks in anticipation.

The city is Dubrovnik.
There are markets in Dubrovnik and there is an old, traditional market within the walls on Gunduliceva poljana.
Arre you looking for hotel accommodation or private apartments? Dubrovnik is on a hill and almost any accommodation has steps leading to it. Lapad area may be what you are looking for.
If looking for hotel accommodation, my advise is the Hilton just outside the city gates.

Thanks for your reply, Moriaque. Apologies re incorrect usage of name Dubrovnick--think I have it now!!
As for accommodation either hotels or apartments would be suitable. When I mentioned the steps, I meant within the complex- ie if I had to walk up several flights of stairs. We are looking to be situated close /in the city. As I metioned, we travelled around Europe with th family %26amp; without fail every accommodation suggested by TripAdvisor members was fantastic. Last year we went around Italy and stayed mostly at one star apartments, but they were clean, always had an ensuite %26amp; near the centre of activities in the cities/towns.
We are so looking forward to visiting Croatia %26amp; Dubrovnick in particular.
Hope you can help.

I am from Sydney and am going to Croatia(Dubrovnik), BIH, Motenengo and throught this forum %26#39;Trip Advisor%26#39; I got on to a fantastic travel agent.....Jayway Travel..his email address jay@jaywaytravel.com..or website www.jaywaytravel.com...of course his name is Jay...:-)he is very knowledgeable and has been extremely helpful in helping me plan our trip.
So far I am impressed....better than any agent I have dealt with here.....of course we are yet to travel, I have done many overseas booking via the web and have never been disappointed.

We have decided to travel just to Croatia early next year %26amp; go to northern Italy %26amp; Ireland this year, as it seemed to be a sit tricky trying to fit it all in with the children.
However, thanks to everyone for your advice, particularly Lizzie18. We will certainly use that suggested site.
