Hi. I will be in Dubrovnik in April and I am looking for the best way to get to Venice without flying or renting a car.
Option A) Ferry from Dubrovnik to Rijeka, then bus to either Piran, Porec, Rovinj, Pula or Rabac and ferry to Venice
Option B) Ferry from Dubrovnik to Bari and train to Venice
Option C) Ferry to Rijeka and bus to Trieste and then bus to Venice
Option D Train from Rijeka to Venice
Do any of these sound good or do you have a better idea?
Any comments or suggestions are appreciated.

I would ferry to Bari and then train to Venice. So option B to me!!

Taking into consideration that you want to travel in April and the ferry services Dubrovnik Bari are somewhat limited at that time of year I would consider Bus to Split and then ferry to Ancona. That way you would get to see the coast between Dubrovnik and Split (sit on the left side of the bus)and the train journey within Italy would be a lot shorter.

Thanks for the ideas. I hadn%26#39;t thought about going to Ancona. So many options... :)

Just got a message from Jackie 99 who says C is the best option due to slow train travel... Thanks for the input.

How do I make my way from Ancona to Venice if I do not rent a car?
Also how long and how much is the ferry from Split to Ancona?
Same question for bus/train to Venice from Ancona?
I%26#39;m planning Dubrovnik and Plitvice (therefore Split) in Croatia and then Venice
