How to drive from Split to Dubrovnik without Crossing Bosnia

I%26#39;m planning to rent a car in Italy and cross Slovenia and Croatia all the way to Dubrovnik. I%26#39;ve seen the Hertz Rent-a-Car term conditions and it%26#39;s possible to go to Slovenia and Croatia but not to Bosnia-Herzegovina. How can I go to Dubrovnik without passing the 5Km Bosnia territory?

Thanks for any reply

This question has come up on here before and I am pretty sure that you will have no problems with this small bit of Bosnian territory because it is considered a corridor. They will most likely wave you through and the worst thing that will happen is they will stop you and check your passports. The only other thing you could do is to take a ferry from Ploce to Orebic and then drive down the Peljesac to Dubrovnik.

hello,

you need to pass bosnian teritory, or take a ferry from split

Agree with Barry on this, there should not be a problem but one thing you should do is check with Hertz Italy what the situation is if you break down or have an accident in the Dubrovnik area as you will be a long way from the nearest Hertz Italy depot and Hertz Croatia is a separate company.

Hi, I have heard the drive is lovely. Will be doing it in June this year. Anything special we should stop and see along the way?

We did this a few years back and had no problems (we rented from Hertz as well). We also drove into Serbia and were not supposed to do that, but we did not spend a whole lot of time down there and actually stayed in the car most of the time.
