Help - Croatia to Venice?

Hi there

i will be doing a whirlwind 3 week trip through Europe in June and am planning to include Hvar. I%26#39;m just wondering what the easiest and quickest way will be for me to travel

a) from Munich to Hvar

b) from Hvar to Venice.

i%26#39;m not fussed with flying / train or ferry so if anyone has any suggestions on how best to travel between these cities that would be fantastic!

Ideally would love to take the ferry from Hvar to venice but i hear that the ferries are not that regular

thanks for your help!

You will find some useful info here.

No direct ferry to Venice. During the summer (end of May through September – companies SEM marina, Larivera, Snav) there are direct ferry/catamaran routes to Italy (Ancona). From there to Venice take a train. Think that would be the easiest way.

thanks for your response. So perhaps would i be best to fly from Munich to Split and then ferry to Hvar, and on the way back fly from Split to venice?

if that is easier and faster then i may just do that?

Hey, you are welcome

To fly from Split to Venice you%26#39;ll have to switch planes – no direct flights.

As for this option of trans–Adriatic boat transport – you can go to Italy either from Split or from Hvar (no need to go back from Hvar to Split to get a boat). Ferries ride more than 10 hrs, but catamarans are much much faster. So I think the easiest option (flying excluded) is taking a catamaran from Split or Hvar to Ancona, than train to Venice.
