Dalmatian Islands for honeymoon...

Hi! I%26#39;m getting married on october 2008 and our first choice for the honeymoon trip was Sicily and the Greek Islands. But we are thinking about changing our mind after seeing the pictures of a friend in Croatia (Dalmatian Islands). So, we are considering the Dalmatian Islands and Crete/Santorini (october 19 - november 4).

I feel a little bit lost in terms of costs, the best islands to visit... well, everything.

I really will appreciate any help in the matter!

Thanks in advance!!

I would look into Hvar, Brac or Korcula for starters. Don%26#39;t know for sure what the islands will be like in October though. Great choice though!!

Greece in my opinion was a very dirty, unfriendly and NOT my favorite destination, however, Santorini made up for other tourist cities such as Athens and Mykonos. Ikies House in Santorini was a spectacular stay. You won%26#39;t want to leave!

Best of luck

I would consult secretdalmatia.com for honeymoon itineraries in Croatia. Other than that, I myself, would recommend Dubrovnik and Hvar to be %26quot;must see%26quot; places but Korcula is incredibly romantic as well!

Am only just learning about Croatia but I have been all over most other parts of the med and personally if you like it fairly warm and dry I wouldn%26#39;t entertain any of it after say last day in september, places also start to close down after then, but hey you could be lucky who knows, you takes your chance!!

Re my last post about %26quot;rainy%26quot; med, think I read somewhere that Hvar island is supposed to have the best weather in Croatia so if you still want to go that time of year maybe Hvar would be your best chance of decent weather?,look at some temperature charts they generally show the weather for each month, most holiday brochures/guide books have one.
