Wanted: compass for coastal Croatia!

Hi there, my wife and I only have 4 days in Croatia. Yes this is criminal but this is all the time we can afford! The plan is to jam-pack a sweet mix of culture, food, wine and people (local) in a beautiful coastal Croatian town. But which one??? We%26#39;ve already done a little research but would appreciate thoughts from those in the know!

Perhaps Dubrovnik (culture, dining, good airline connections) combined with its surroundings like Cavtat or a bit further north (Peljesac peninsula) with small towns, family wineries?

Zagrebresident gave you a good advice! The alternative would be Split or Trogir - a nice mixture of everything!
