Will be in Croatia for the first time over the summer and are considering renting a car to drive from Split to Dubrovnik. Wondering if anyone has done that drive and what its like. Scenic? Does the road go along the coast?
and also, If we do decide to bus, does anyone have an idea of what it might cost?

That question appears on this forum almost once a week since it is a choice of many travelers to drive from split to Dubrovnik.
The drive is about 3,5 to 5 hours (depends on the season, time of the day,day of the week) and it is very scenic since it goes along the coast

Its a stunning drive, although it can be busy in the summer, but just relax and get into Croatian time. Make sure your hire car has aircon!
Don%26#39;t know how much the bus costs but it won%26#39;t break the bank. The timetable will be availble on www.ak-split.hr/EN and there is also a number there you could ring to get prices. The journey by bus takes c. 4 hours.

A simply stunning drive from Split to Dubrovnik. It is a busy road, but the views are out of this world.
